The  Samvel Studios designer brand was officially established by Samvel Manukian in Summer 06. Although the Samvel Studios brand is somewhat new, the jeweler himself is certainly not a novice. Samvel Manukian first discovered his passion for gothic silver jewelry crafting as a youth growing up in Soviet Armenia, the old world cultural capital hailed for its stellar craftsmanship developed over devoted practice of ancient traditions. After entering the National Academy of fine arts, Samvel's attention leaned towards design & upon graduation Samvel Manukian initially became a designer and soon after, the top art director of the helm of one of the top design and advertising agencies in Armenia. Come 1989, Samvel & his colleagues won a prestigious International design meet held in Vilnius, the culture-rich capital of Lithuania.
  
During the early 90s, Samvel Manukian migrated to the USA with his family & settled in Los Angeles. There, the young Samvel worked as a designer for a premium jewelry outfit where he rediscovered his love for sterling silver jewelry craftsmanship. In 1995, Samvel opened 3D SM: a silver shop geared towards the crafting of premium gothic jewelry. For many years, he cooperated with several prestigious design labels to produce sterling silver gothic jewelry. Eventualy, his burning hunger to express his own individual character ultimately inspired him to start his own line in starting an enterprise now known as Samvel Studios, which specializes in gothic sterling silver jewelry. Samvel Manukian's dedication to the art of gothic jewelry craft & the creating of edgy, original designs defines Samvel Studios as one of the hottest new up & coming gothic jewelry labels to challenge the likes of Chrome Hearts.
