Bill Wall's Early Life
 
Only another biker can really appreciate what a biker desires to wear & look like. For Bill Wall, knowing what it meant, artistically & culturally to be a biker was really just intuitive. Before his foray into the design world in the mid 1980s, Bill Wall had worked on a fishing vessel, dabbled in part time acting & construction work. Following an accident in which he broke his foot, Bill Wall was terminated from all his jobs and joined the ranks of the unemployed.

 

Following his injury, the unhappily home-bound Bill Wall began to experiment with fabrics. He quickly purchased a machine, a store of scrap fabric & began stitching designs, the very first of which was a motorcycle. With budget being a substantial limitation, Bill had to purchase poorly sized, unwieldy scrap fragments of cloth and leather, stitch them together & sew designs over the stitches; a technique which ultimately gave rise to an entirely new style of jeans. A new style which quietly celebrated the tenacity of Bill Wall’s determination. It was during this period of his life that Bill Wall discovered the lack of functional and presentable riding gear on offer, & set out to create a fashion identity which bikers could be proud to adopt.

Having headed down the path of success, Bill Wall never looked back. Soon, Bill began collaborating with a close friend cum client: the legendary biker jewelry designer Gabor Nagy, to design the A-Z of biking apparel. Drawing inspiration from, Bill Wall began his venture into the world of gothic silver jewelry, which he developed under the direction of Gabor Nagy. The partnership eventually led to Bill Wall creating his own line of gothic sterling silver jewelry known as Bill Wall Leather Jewelry or BWL Jewelry, which is often spoken in the same tones as the hugely popular Chrome Hearts jewelry label.
